Titanoboa, save us all
- "It's nice to be back, isn't it?"
- "Oh, yes, not a worry in the world."
- "Except for, you know, all the worries in the world."
- "You just keep doing what you do best, as should we all."
- "But I am the best at nothing."
- "Then do us all a favor and do exactly that."
- "I'm not worried. My family is well-off." - Says the chilean.
- "But for the rest of us. Not even Vonnegut and Unamuno could come together, as an apparition of sorts, and produce their best deus ex machina to pull us out of this one."
- "It would be fun, though, both of them fighting for authorship and in the end leaving everything intact. There can't be two deuses."
- "You are of course familiar with the 'Action, Action, Action!' battlecry."
- "Yeah, you should have heard the Governator about a year ago, he even added a fourth Action when he urged nations to deal with climate change."
- "Now that's a deus ex machina: Arnold leading us from his hydrogen-fueled Hummer towards a financially stable and environmentally friendly future."
- "I'm in."
- "And speaking of Arnold, did you hear about the Titanoboa Cerrejonensis?"
- "No."
- "Very close to home. It's supposed to be the biggest snake ever found, prehistoric and huge. Full page in several newspapers."
- "Full page?"
- "Saw it in The Guardian, myself."
- "What a curious name." - Says the chilean.
- "I know. Is she like someone famous?" - adds the other chilean.
- "Is who like someone famous?"
- "This Tita Novoa."
- "Tita Novoa? ha ha ha No... it's Titano-boa: a titanic boa."
Laughs all around.
- "They should do a Titanoboa Museum."
- "They should. We have picked the spot already, but I'm afraid others are working on it as we speak."
- "Yes, yes, I'm pretty sure they are already selling the Titanoboa at hot dog stands."
- "Chori-lomi-butitanoboa-italo-hawaiiana."
- "But we can get a deal with the chinese to build souvenirs, we know a few people."
- "Think of pens, ties, baseball bats."
- "Think of sleeping bags, 'Get swallowed by a Titanoboa to sleep'."
- "Think of dildos." - Says the German.
- "Maybe for the Amsterdam branch of the Museum."
